Product Description

Meet The Safe Sippy™ stainless steel drinking cup - one small step in creating a less toxic world for our children.

The Safe Sippy cup breaks away from the all plastic cup designs of the past. From the clean, non-leaching stainless steel cup to the unique safety features, to the plastics free of Bisphenol A, phthalates and other harmful chemicals, The Safe Sippy ™ cup was created to accomplish one simple goal: Clean In, Clean Out.

The stainless steel body is the most important element of The Safe Sippy™ cup. Made of durable and lightweight food grade 304 stainless steel, the 330ml Safe Sippy bottle is non-leaching and toxin free. So what you put in is what your children get out. Nothing more. Nothing else.

Recent research has revealed that wide drinking spouts, commonly found on many sippy cups, can cause physical and speech development probelms in children. These findings have determined that straw-shaped spouts are better for developing mouths.
The handles on The Safe Sippy™ are removable, so that when your child says, "Handles are for little kids," you don't have to buy a new cup. And when little hands are covered with that cool new organic spinach mango puree because your child decided to shampoo the dog with it, the nubs make it easier to grip the handles. We tapered the waist and put ribbing on the sleeve. Both features help little hands hold the cup once your child insists they are too big for handles. Or because your child tossed the handles behind the fridge, where they wound up beside that 3 month old sprig of broccoli your child said they ate. We know you know what we're talking about.

The rubbery sleeve surrounding the cup is something called thermo plastic rubber, or TPR. It provides insulation when you put cold liquids into the cup on hot summer days. (If you don't think that's a big deal, try putting ice in one of our competitor's non-insulated cups). The sleeve also acts as a cushion that protects the stainless steel...and your toes, should you be foolish enough to wear sandals around your two year old.

Safe Sippy Materials - All plastic parts (cap and handles) are made from #5 plastic or polypropylene that is the safest and most stable of all plastics. All plastic used is tested and/or certified free of BPA and phthalates.

The cup and all its parts are dishwasher safe. We recommend the top rack only. While the valve does well in the dishwasher, it is easy to lose and we recommend that you hand wash it separately. Size 2.5" at widest point x 7 inches tall.
